Cox has created and produced award-winning marketing
campaigns and special events.
 Awards
include the Association for Healthcare Philanthropies
Award for Excellence in Special Events, Montefiore
Medical Center Special Recognition Award, International
Downtown Associations Award for Excellence in Marketing
and the American Tour Bus Associations’ Top 100 Events
Across America.
Kathleen began her
career in the equestrian sports industry where she was responsible
for launching and marketing multi-million-dollar bloodstock
operations as well as champion horses and riders. The American
Horse Council, the industry’s national association, reports the
horse business contributes $39 billion in direct economic impact to
the United States economy annually. When indirect and induced
spending are included, the industry’s economic impact reaches $102
billion. A pioneer in
creating and producing equestrian theatrical shows in the United
States, Kathleen’s productions have received standing ovations and
praise from media and clients.
Belmont HorseFair,
an 8-day festival created and produced for New York Racing
Association, “…exceeded everyone’s expectations,” wrote Steven Crist
in The New York Times.
 “The Mane Event one
of the best equestrian shows we have ever seen. It is an absolutely
fabulous show. The horsemen who performed were exceptional and each
act seemed to be better than the last. The grandstand was packed,”
wrote Flave Pisciotta in the Rancho Santa Fe Review.
President Errol McKoy of the State Fair of Texas stated, “Just a quick note to let
you know how pleased we were with your production of Kasbah! We
were looking for something with a lot of WOW—you and Lisa made that
happen. Thanks again for a job well done.”
In 2006 she was
responsible for selecting, securing and managing equestrian
entertainment at the World Equestrian Games held in Aachen,
Germany.
Kathleen produces
and directs the annual Del Mar National Horse Show’s Night of the
Horse in Del Mar, California.
Along with her work
as a marketing consultant and event producer, Kathleen is a speaker,
writer, publicist and coach.
Her speaking engagements, clinics and seminars have been called,
“…dynamic, informative and inspiring.” She has published numerous
articles and serves as a career development coach for SCORE, an
agency of the Small Business Administration.
